For shelf-stable food a best-by date is the manufacturer's estimate of peak quality. Sealed, dry, room-temperature stock does not become unsafe the morning after. Texture and flavour can drift, and we tell you when they do.

One warehouse in Brooklyn, our own photos, no distributor tier between us and you. The saving is the whole business model, not a launch promotion.
How we grade what we sell
Every listing carries one of these three grades and a photo of the actual date code. If a case arrives worse than its grade, we refund it — you don't have to ship it back.
We never sell infant formula, baby food, or anything that needs refrigeration. No exceptions, whatever the margin.
- Sealed, past best-by
- Factory seal intact, printed date has passed. Stored dry at room temperature since we took delivery. The date is on the listing and photographed.
- Sealed, short-dated
- Still inside the printed window, usually 30 to 90 days out. Cheap because the clock is short, not because anything is wrong with it.
- Case damage, product sound
- Crushed or scuffed outer carton, inner units undamaged and sealed. Photographed from the worst angle, not the best.

Is food past its best-by date safe?
For sealed, shelf-stable items, a best-by date is a quality estimate set by the manufacturer, not a safety cut-off. Quality can drift — a bar may be firmer, a cracker less crisp. We only list categories where that is the whole risk, and we never touch formula, baby food, or anything refrigerated.
How do I know the comparison price is real?
Every comparison carries a link to the listing and the time we checked it. Click it. If the price has moved below ours, tell us and we reprice or refund the difference.
What if I don't want it once it arrives?
Thirty days, opened or not, no restocking fee and no questions. Selling past-date stock only works if returning it is easy.
